Admissions
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for admissions to the MBA program at The Cauvery School of Business, candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST candidates). Final-year undergraduate students awaiting results are also eligible to apply, provided they meet the eligibility criteria upon the release of their final results.
Entrance Examination
For MBA admissions, applicants are required to appear for recognized management entrance exams such as the Karnataka PGCET. The entrance exam score is a critical component of the selection process, influencing eligibility for the Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds.
Application Form
Interested candidates must complete the admissions application form, available on the college’s official website or through the Mysore University admission portal. The application form requires personal information, academic qualifications, entrance exam scores, and work experience (if applicable). Applicants should ensure all required documents, including mark sheets, certificates, and entrance exam scores, are uploaded correctly.
Selection Process
- Screening: Applicants are shortlisted based on their entrance exam scores.
- Group Discussion (GD): Shortlisted candidates participate in a GD to evaluate communication skills, teamwork, leadership potential, and current affairs knowledge.
- Personal Interview (PI): Candidates undergo a PI to assess their academic background, career goals, and suitability for the MBA program. Special rounds may also be conducted at the institutional level before final admission.
Final Merit List
The final admissions decision is based on a composite score derived from the entrance exam, GD, PI, academic performance, and work experience (if any). A merit list is finalized, and successful candidates receive an offer letter based on their preferences as indicated in the PGCET.
